WP Status Saver

WP Status Saver (“we”, “our”, or “app”) is developed as a local-first utility designed to help users view and save status media from WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it.

1. Zero Personal Data Collection (Chats & Media)

WP Status Saver does not collect, transmit, store, or sell any personal communication data.

We do not collect your name, phone number, email address, or contacts.
We do not access your chat messages, call logs, or WhatsApp account details.
We do not transmit your status media, photos, videos, or edited creations off-device.

2. On-Device Media Processing & Storage Access (SAF)

Storage Access Framework (SAF) Compliance: Access to status folders is requested exclusively via the system’s official Android directory picker. Original WhatsApp status files remain read-only and are never modified or deleted.

When you choose to save a status or export a story from Studio Creator, the media file is saved directly to your device’s public gallery under the StatusStudio album.

3. Advertising & Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob)

To support the ongoing maintenance and development of WP Status Saver as a free application, this app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC).

Information Processed by Google Mobile Ads SDK:

Device Identifiers: Android Advertising ID (GAID) or pseudonymous identifiers to serve contextual or personalized ads.
Diagnostics & Performance: Crash logs, app performance, and ad interaction metrics to monitor ad delivery and protect against fraud.
Coarse Location: General location derived from IP address to provide geographically relevant advertisements.

User Consent & Privacy Choices (Google UMP):

In regulated jurisdictions (including the European Economic Area / GDPR and UK), the app displays a Google-certified User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form before requesting ads.
You can review or change your advertising privacy preferences at any time directly in the app under Settings > Ad Privacy & Consent Choices > Privacy Choices.
Google AdMob does not have access to your personal photos, WhatsApp statuses, or private device files.

4. Network & Security

All advertising communications occur over encrypted HTTPS connections. Unencrypted cleartext (HTTP) traffic is strictly blocked by our Android network security configuration.

5. Children’s Privacy

WP Status Saver does not address children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children.
